What is the orientation for best wifi reception?

Hi,
I'm trying to attach my twine to a mailbox door but when I cover it with tape I think it reduces the wifi signal strength too much so it can't send its text message.

Is there a certain orientation that works best, or is there a part of twine that shouldn't be covered to ensure the best signal strength?

Any suggestions would be great.

If you're not using metal tape it shouldn't affect things too much. If you're sticking Twine in a metal mailbox, that would contribute to the problem. The antenna is along the back edge (where the ports are), so keeping that side away from obstructions would help.
