You should check your wifi hardware (usually it´s called router or access point) to see if it's compatible with B-Network (the standards are B, G and N). It might be the case. And if it is, double check in the setting if it's enabled.

You can make a rule to send an email to a service like TwitterMail (http://twittercounter.com/pages/twittermail/) or use the famous IFTTT.com if it suits you
