I received and set up my Twine on Saturday. Great fun, but couldn't figure out why notifications didn't work. It's a bummer if it's down, but good that it wasn't me mis-understanding it! I got a strange Python error from the Twine web service when I tried to authorize Twitter. All of this was sent in as a help request. I hope these guys can keep their back end up and reliable ...
I just re-checked, and as of 11:44am ET, it looks like things are working again. Hopefully the Supermechanical folks explain what happened here. A three day outage is pretty inexcusable IMO.
The server went down for a period this weekend as a consequence of a change on their server as part of testing a new feature, and sending notifications temporarily got locked up. At the same time, their monitoring app that tells them when things aren't working correctly, was also not working correctly, so they didn't catch it right away. The problems have now been fixed.
even if the server is back, i'm still getting my notifications hours later... so I'm not able to know if the ones i received overnight (I'm in Europe) were errors or delays
