I have no problem with email alerts but I cannot receive SMS alerts on any of the 4 Tmobile phones in our family. Has anyone else had or solved this issue? Is there a setting that needs to be changed in my Tmobile account? Thanks for any input.
Not all mobile networks are yet supported. Twine are using email-to-SMS gateways and t-mobile's are either flakey or non-existent. Same issue with me (tmobile UK)
I am having this issue too. Looks like using the email phonenumber@tmomail.net works to send a text to my phone with gmail, but even when I input that as an email address for my rule, it is not processing
T-Mobile, AT&T, and Rogers Wireless (in Canada) run on similar platforms. You might want to check out these suggestionsat; http://help.supermechanical.com/kb/using-twine/text-messages-arent-being-received Particularly, follow the Rogers link, and see if you can find similar instructions on the T-Mobile site. Or, just try the codes, and see what happens; you can't do any harm.
It is February, and I am still unable to text to T-Mobile or send email thru their gateway.
One problem with sending email action to the gateway is that email msgs seem to have ~ 150 of text tacked on the end of the msg body. I haven't played with this recently, but some gateways don't want more than 144 character bodies. Assuming this is an issue, I could send SMS thru gateway if there was an option to eliminate this appended footer.
Note: have used T-Mobile's email-SMS gateway off and on over the last 10 years and never had a problem with it (as long as the body length is OK.)
