Has anyone been able to get two Twines on the same wi-fi network

Hi all,

Has anyone had success getting two Twines set up on the same network? My second Twine goes through the setup process well enough, but when I flip it back to connect, it does the slow flashing and:

1) Gives me the 3 quick "fail" flashes about 2/3 of the time.
2) Does no extra flashes the other 1/3 of the time.
3) My first Twine occasionally goes "offline" at this point and needs to be reset.
4) The second Twine does not give me the steady light when I put it back on its back, and I have to pull a battery and replace to reset.

Any thoughts? I'd hate to send it back for something obvious. I could try a friend's network, if I have to.

I ordered two for use on the same network. I have one set up and working and am about to get started on the second. When you say "fixed on their end", anything to do with firmware or no? My first unit is still showing the October firmware.

It wasn't firmware related - occasionally they seem to have an issue with the Twine reporting in after it connects to your network. If you don't see it on your dashboard, and the LED indicates connection, email them. They'll look in the logs, see it and fix it on their end.

I am thinking of using many (50? 100?) TWINES to notify the owners of -80 degree freezers here at Tufts University when their freezer alarms go off (which closes a relay). Is there a problem connecting large numbers of TWINES to the same wifi network?

I think not. They are all behaving nicely as independent devices. There is the occasional issue of them not showing in your dashboard after set up - but the Supermechanical people can clear that up quickly.

At some point you could run out of IP addresses, depending on how your network is set up. You might have to get an additional router with a separate address space just to handle that.
